Yep… you read that right. Tote Bored is gonna be terrible. My picks are going to be wrong most of the time. Overall, it’s gonna be horse shit.

No matter how bad the content might be, one thing is for sure: horse racing is the topic. So, still a bunch of horse shit.

I’m going to put this out there now: if you were looking for a professional website with expert picks that are written eloquently using the words everyone else uses, you came to the wrong place. Tote Bored is going to be a horse racing blog that sits somewhere between “this bet works every time” and “I have no clue what I’m doing”. There’s not much else to say about it yet!

How we got here

1. I discovered TVG in 2017: Turns out you can almost always watch horse racing, who knew? Over time, it always seemed to be something fun that I enjoyed.

2. I learned how to make a website in 2024: It sounds cliche, and it is. Nothing better than learning something decades after everyone else did.

3. I combined the two in 2025: I now have a way to talk about horse racing on my own website. Again… it still feels a little weird but we’ll get used to it.

What’s next

I’m going to keep setting up the website and eventually there will be real horse racing content here. Bear with me, it’s going to look pretty bad until it looks pretty good!
